Fleece Sweatshirt with Elbow Patches

So, it's almost Christmas! So exciting. We've just finished up our homeschool lessons for the year. These guys have kept me busy this year! There hasn't been much time for sewing...unless it is for them!

I made this super-soft fleece sweatshirt for my oldest son a few weeks ago! It is plain navy non-pill fleece (from JoAnn Fabric) and has elbow patches. The fleece was in the remnant bin. Bargain!

The elbow patches are scraps of jersey fabric.

Oh, and my biggest little guy is wearing his pants that I added some cuffs to a few months back. Click for that tutorial if you want to make your kids' pants longer.

The pattern is from Peek-A-Boo patterns and was super easy to follow and sew. It’s the varsity cowl neck pattern (affiliate links)

Oh, and this rocking chair is one I recovered a few years back! I got it back out for my littlest guy to sit in, but the two older boys like it, too.

My little guy loves his fleece sweatshirt. I am going to have to make another for my middle guy. I like to have my boys in plain clothes (instead of crazy prints) but I think I’d like to choose something a little more interesting for the next time I sew up this pattern.
